Riverview Mowing - Full Service Terms & Conditions (2025)

 

Thank you for choosing Riverview Mowing. This document outlines all our service policies, pricing terms, payment requirements, and operating conditions. These terms apply to all customers and all services provided.

 

 

 

 

1. Pricing Policy

 

 

  • All services are quoted per job, based on lawn size, slope, access, growth conditions, and trimming requirements.

  • Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices may be updated at any time with written notice provided.

 

 

 

 

 

2. Payment Terms (Strictly No Cash)

 

 

  • All payments must be made via bank transfer or secure card payment through the invoice.

  • Cash is not accepted.

  • Invoices are due within 14 days of issue.

  • Payment links and bank transfer details are included in all invoices.

 

 

 

 

 

3. Late Payment Policy

 

 

  • $15 late fee applies every 7 days past the invoice due date.

  • Services will be paused or cancelled if the account remains unpaid.

  • Reinstatement of services after non-payment may incur an additional service call-out fee.

 

 

 

 

 

4. Access & Site Conditions

 

 

  • You do not need to be home, but full access must be available.

  • This includes:

    • Gates unlocked

    • No aggressive or loose dogs onsite

    • Lawn free from hazards (toys, hoses, tools)

    • No excessive dog faeces

  •  

  • If our employee cannot safely access or complete the job, the full fee may still apply.

  • Repeated access issues may result in termination of service.

 

 

 

 

 

5. Employee-Run Operation

 

 

  • All services are carried out by trained Riverview Mowing employees.

  • Staff are issued a daily run sheet including job notes, entry instructions, and site-specific details.

  • Any damage to property must be reported to us within 24 hours.

 

 

 

 

 

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling

 

 

  • You must give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a service.

  • Late cancellations may be charged at 50% of the job fee.

  • If we arrive onsite and cannot mow due to cancellation, locked gates, or poor conditions, the full job fee will apply.

 

 

 

 

 

7. Refund Policy

 

 

  • Refunds are only offered if:

    • The service is cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice

    • There was a clear fault with the job and we’re unable to return and rectify it

  •  

  • Refunds will not be issued once the work has started unless we’ve made a mistake.

 

 

 

 

 

8. Changes to Terms

 

 

  • Riverview Mowing reserves the right to update these terms at any time.

  • The most up-to-date version of these terms will always be published at www.riverviewmowing.com.au/terms.

  • By continuing to use our services, you agree to the latest version available on our website.

  • We recommend all customers check these terms once a month to stay informed of any changes.

 

 

 

 

 

9. Weather & Service Delays

 

 

  • Riverview Mowing will determine if conditions are too wet or unsafe to perform mowing services.

  • Services may be delayed due to weather, natural disasters, or unforeseen events.

  • No compensation or discount will be given for weather-based delays.

  • Affected services will be rescheduled at the earliest safe opportunity.

 

 

 

 

 

10. Liability, Damage, Yard Conditions & Photo Use

 

 

  • Riverview Mowing accepts no liability for damage caused by hidden or unmarked obstructions, including but not limited to irrigation heads, cables, hoses, or uneven terrain.

  • We may take before and after photos for training, quality control, and proof of service. Photos will not be shared publicly without consent.

 

 

 

 

 

11. Dispute Resolution

 

 

  • If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, you must notify us within 7 days of the service date.

  • We will attempt to resolve all disputes promptly and professionally.

 

 

 

 

 

12. Privacy Policy

 

 

  • We collect personal details (e.g. name, phone, address, email) to provide quotes, schedule services, and send invoices.

  • Your data is stored securely and used only by Riverview Mowing for business purposes.

  • We do not share your information with third parties unless legally required.

  • You may request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us.

  • If you believe your data has been mishandled, please contact us directly to resolve the issue. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

 

 

 

 

 

13. Acceptance of Terms

 

 

  • By accepting a quote, booking a service, or paying an invoice, you are agreeing to these full service terms.

 

 

 

 

 

14. Right to Refuse or Cancel Service

 

 

  • Riverview Mowing reserves the right to cancel, refuse, or discontinue service to any customer at any time, for any reason, at our sole discretion.

  • This may include repeated late payments, unsafe conditions, abusive behaviour, excessive complaints, or any conduct deemed unreasonable by management.

  • All decisions are final and will be communicated in writing where possible.

 

 

 

 

 

15. Obstructions, Pet Waste & Mowing Limitations

 

 

  • Yards must be free of excessive pet waste, toys, tools, furniture, hoses, rubbish, and other loose objects before our arrival.

  • If obstructions or faeces are present, we may skip the affected areas or mow around them. The full service fee will still apply.

  • We do not move furniture, trampolines, toys, or other property. Customers are responsible for preparing the yard in advance.

 

 

 

 

 

16. Satisfaction Guarantee

 

 

  • If you are not satisfied with the quality of the mowing service, notify us within 24 hours.

  • We will return to fix the issue at no additional charge, provided the request is reasonable and within scope.

 

 

 

 

 

17. Minimum Job Charge

 

 

  • A minimum job charge of $60 applies to all services, regardless of time spent.

  • Quotes below this threshold will be rounded up to meet the minimum charge.

 

 

 

 

 

18. Seasonal Breaks & Public Holidays

 

 

  • Riverview Mowing operates year-round but may pause or reduce services over Christmas, major public holidays, or in extreme weather.

  • We will notify active customers in advance when service adjustments are planned.

  • Weather-affected jobs will be rescheduled as soon as conditions allow.

 

 

 

 

 

19. Safety & Service Limitations

 

 

  • Riverview Mowing does not guarantee acceptance of tasks involving ladders, roof access, tree climbing, or work on retaining walls or unstable surfaces.

  • We may choose to take on these tasks at our discretion depending on safety, equipment, and insurance coverage.

  • Customers must not expect these services as part of regular mowing visits unless confirmed in writing.

 

 

 

 

 

20. Gate Lock-Out & Missed Access

 

 

  • If we attend a scheduled job and cannot access the property due to locked gates, obstructed entry, or other preventable blockages, a $40 call-out fee may be charged.

  • We will not wait onsite for access beyond a reasonable time frame unless agreed beforehand.

 

 

 

 

 

21. Additional Services & Day-of Requests

 

 

  • All additional services (hedging, pruning, waste removal, garden clean-ups, etc.) must be booked and quoted separately before the visit.

  • We do not guarantee same-day availability for extra tasks unless they are confirmed in advance.

  • Requests made onsite may be refused or scheduled for a future visit.

 

 

 

 

 

22. Quote Validity & Job Scope

 

 

  • All quotes are valid for 14 days.

  • If the job has changed since the quote was issued — including increased growth, access issues, or added sections — the quote may be void and subject to re-evaluation onsite.

  • Overgrown lawns, wet conditions, or unreported obstructions may result in higher charges or refusal of service until conditions are resolved.

 

 

 

 

 

23. Use of Subcontractors

 

 

  • Riverview Mowing may engage subcontractors or casual workers to carry out any service at any time without prior notice.

  • All subcontractors are held to the same standards and are expected to perform the agreed-upon service scope with the same level of quality.

  • Customer expectations, terms, and obligations remain unchanged regardless of who delivers the service.

 

 

 

 

 

24. Travel & Access Surcharges

 

 

  • Properties located outside normal service zones, on steep inclines, or requiring special equipment may incur additional travel or access surcharges.

  • Any surcharge will be quoted in advance or agreed with the customer before the service is performed.

 

 

 

 

 

25. Regular Service Agreements

 

 

  • Customers who receive regular mowing (e.g. fortnightly or 4-weekly) are considered ongoing clients unless cancelled with at least 7 days’ notice.

  • If the schedule is disrupted or skipped without notice, Riverview Mowing may terminate the agreement or re-quote based on new growth.

 

 

 

 

 

26. Unattended Property Policy

 

 

  • You do not need to be home for us to complete the service.

  • Unless otherwise instructed, our team will not knock or make contact upon arrival, and will proceed with the scheduled work based on the existing scope.

  • We are not responsible for any personal items left on the property or for unreported hazards.

 

 

 

 

 

27. Grass Clippings & Waste Removal

 

 

  • Grass clippings will be mulched back into the lawn or left in a tidy pile unless waste removal is quoted separately.

  • We may refuse to remove grass clippings or green waste if the volume is excessive or exceeds the amount agreed in the original quote.

  • Waste disposal is not included unless explicitly stated.

 

 

 

 

 

28. Customer Behaviour & Conduct

 

 

  • We do not tolerate abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour toward our employees, subcontractors, or representatives.

  • Any such behaviour may result in immediate cancellation of services without refund or notice.

 

 

 

 

 

29. Data Use & Storage

 

 

  • We may store and use your personal and service data for scheduling, quoting, training, internal record-keeping, or business analysis.

  • This data may be stored using third-party platforms or software providers. By using our service, you also agree to those platforms’ terms and privacy conditions.

 

 

 

 

 

30. Force Majeure

 

 

  • Riverview Mowing is not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our control. This includes but is not limited to: floods, storms, bushfires, mechanical failure, labour shortages, or supply disruptions.

  • In such cases, we will reschedule the job as soon as reasonably possible.

 

 

 

 

 

31. Payment Disputes

 

 

  • If you dispute a charge, you must notify us within 7 days of the invoice date.

  • We may, at our sole discretion, waive or adjust charges where appropriate.

  • Invoices not paid within 21 days may be referred to third-party debt collection.

 

 

 

 

 

32. Lawn Health & Service Scope Disclaimer

 

 

  • Riverview Mowing does not guarantee lawn health, growth, or condition unless specified in a separate fertilising, treatment, or lawn care service agreement.

  • Our work is limited to the specific tasks agreed — such as mowing, edging, or hedging — and does not cover unrelated issues such as watering, pest control, or soil quality.

 

 

 

 

 

33. Insurance Coverage

 

 

  • Riverview Mowing maintains public liability insurance.

  • Commercial clients may request a certificate of currency as part of job verification or contract onboarding.

 

 

 

 

 

34. Surveillance & Recording Devices

 

 

  • For safety, quality control, and incident documentation, services may be recorded using dashcams or body-worn cameras.

  • Recordings are used for internal purposes only unless required by law.

 

 

 

 

 

35. Authority to Enter & Key Access

 

 

  • By booking a service, you authorise Riverview Mowing and its subcontractors to enter your property for the purpose of performing the agreed service.

  • Access methods (gate codes, key locations, etc.) are your responsibility to provide securely.

  • Riverview Mowing accepts no liability for misplaced, lost, or damaged keys or access devices.

 

 

 

 

 

36. Contractor Non-Solicitation

 

 

  • Customers agree not to engage Riverview Mowing staff, contractors, or subcontractors for private work outside of Riverview Mowing’s scheduling or invoicing systems.

  • Breach of this clause may result in immediate service cancellation.

 

 

 

 

 

37. Written Agreements Override Verbal Instructions

 

 

  • No verbal instructions or agreements will override the terms or scope listed in your quote or invoice.

  • All changes must be confirmed in writing by Riverview Mowing.

 

 

 

 

 

38. Service Window & Scheduling Flexibility

 

 

  • We do not guarantee exact service times.

  • Services may be completed within a flexible time window of up to three days surrounding the scheduled date, depending on weather, crew availability, and route efficiency.

  • All terms regarding weather or delay overrides remain in effect.

 

 

 

 

 

39. Priority Booking Surcharge

 

 

  • Last-minute or priority bookings may incur a surcharge of $30 or more depending on availability and notice.

  • This will always be disclosed prior to job confirmation.

 

 

 

 

 

15. Service Guarantee

 

 

  • We stand by our work. If you are unsatisfied with the result, please contact us within 7 days and we will return to fix it free of charge.

  • The service guarantee does not apply to lawns that were not accessible, heavily obstructed, overgrown, or affected by pet waste at the time of service.

 

 

 

 

 

16. Minimum Job Charge

 

 

  • A minimum charge of $50 applies to all scheduled services, regardless of time spent onsite.

  • This ensures our team is compensated for time, travel, and operational costs.

 

 

 

 

 

17. Seasonal Service Changes

 

 

  • We operate year-round, but may pause or reduce services during public holidays, excessive rain periods, or major regional weather events.
